The next post will look quite different as the plumbing, wiring and plastering will all occur over the next 3 weeks. I imagine I will need to post more often to keep ahead.
The ground for the water tank will also be prepared over the next couple of weeks. This upheaval will also include internet, water and electricity trenches to be dug for the back studio. The bathroom walls (no photos sorry) are framed and a few water leakage issues from the roof need to be sorted out.
JULY - facing the other way from above, looking towards the back garden through the dining area. Much of the last week or so has been spent adding in the steel battons on the roof.
JULY - Living Room door is in. It has a beautifully heavy and smooth sliding action. The olive tree in the front garden seems to be surviving the build quite well.
JUNE - Zeke's room
JULY - Zeke's room with the Tasmanian Oak Recycled Floorboards. Zeke enjoyed watching the nails go in...
...So much so that he had a go himself and successfully nailed in two nails.
JUNE - master bedroom (ensuite through that sliding door)
JUNE - Ensuite
JULY - Music Room with glass in the sliding doors. It's going to be lovely a lovely warm, light room I think.
JULY - living room looking towards where the TV and joinery will be.
JULY - Music Room again (looks towards the street)
Segue between the airlock and the living room. The front door is on but not complete.
The airlock and front door
James (builder) and Fairley (architect) on the stair landing.
It all looks fantastic. At some point in the future can you please explain the airlock? It sounds a bit sci fi. xx
